How long does a coating last before maintenance is required?
This depends on the type of coating and the conditions, but generally the lifespan ranges from several years to over 10 years when properly applied and maintained.

Do you provide a warranty on the coatings?
Yes, when the coating is applied by our own application team, we can provide a warranty. The exact warranty conditions depend on the product, the application, and the circumstances. Please contact us for specific warranty conditions per project.

Is it necessary to use a primer?
Yes, in many cases a primer is required. The suitable primer depends on the substrate.

On which surfaces and materials can your coatings be applied?
Our coatings can be applied to wood, metal, concrete, plastic, and other common materials, depending on the type of coating.

What requirements must the substrate meet?
The substrate must be clean, dry, and firm:

  • Clean: depending on the contamination, this can be done with a degreaser or sometimes with a broom.
  • Dry: this varies per substrate and is often measured with a moisture meter.
  • Firm: the substrate must not flake, powder, or crumble. For mineral substrates, sufficient compressive strength is required.

How much coating should I apply?
The required amount depends on the application and is always specified per product. The layer thickness determines whether the coating is sufficiently gas-, air-, or vapor-tight. Therefore, it is important to always apply the prescribed amount to achieve the desired tightness.

What is the drying time of the coating?
Drying time varies per product and depends on temperature and humidity. Most coatings are water-based and therefore sensitive to weather conditions. In a dry environment with a temperature of around 20°C, the average drying time is 48 hours.

Are your coatings environmentally friendly or do they meet certain sustainability standards?
Our coatings comply with applicable environmental standards and are often low-VOC or water-based, making them a sustainable choice for your project.

What are the most common mistakes when applying coatings and how can I avoid them?
Common mistakes include insufficient surface preparation, applying too thin or too thick layers, and allowing insufficient drying time. Always follow our guidelines or have the application carried out by our professional team for the best results.
